Ever try to write a newsletter? Our newsletter is a particularly challenging one because it does not actually report any real news. There's no announcement, nothing has changed but the picture on the calendar, and hence there must be an emailing of some sort.
So this doesn't make my job any easier as the author of the newsletter. What month is it...April? Taxes, April showers, baseball, blah blah blah...whateva. I'll spare you the contrived.
This month is a bit trying, since I suddenly find myself in the thick of spring and have barely seen the light of day yet because, at New York Bar Store, it's business as usual! We're scouring the web for the hottest products out there, and getting them to you for the right price. Well, that and going on regular benders. A big shot out to everyone who came out to Lucky Jacks this weekend! It was a ruckus time as usual, and I'm sure we'll be doing it again soon.
But for now, I've got work to get back to. Hot products and cool drinks? Thought you would never ask - see below!

April Rain (Drink)
This drink at first really seemed way to obvious for April, but I after I had one (3) I had to do it. I feel very refreshed. If I sprout flowers in May, I'll let you know.
April Rain Ingredients:
* 2 oz Vodka
* 1/2 oz Roses Lime Juice
* 1/2 oz dry Vermouth
* Lime peel
Mixing instructions:
Pour Vodka, Vermouth and lime cordial into shaker over ice. Strain into chilled martini glass. Garnish with lime peel (zest).
It's pretty much a vodkatini, but has a very light, refreshingly citrusly flavor. Perfect for sipping on a drizzly spring evening. For an even more citrus twist, try using some Absolute Citron...you'll be spring fresh in no time!
